Bobcat announces winners in ‘Great Bobcat Tractor Pull’ contest
An Indiana apple-orchard owner and beekeeper will claim the grand prize in Bobcat’s “Great Bobcat Tractor Pull” contest, which asked entrants to describe how they would use a Bobcat® compact tractor to accomplish tasks ranging from common acreage chores to major undertakings.

The new S650 skid-steer loader and T650 compact track loader are now available for order through local Bobcat dealerships. The S650 and T650 are part of the new M-Series line of compact loaders and excavators launched earlier this year by Bobcat Company.

Bobcat offers front-auxiliary hydraulics and additional attachments for compact tractors
Bobcat announces that a front-auxiliary hydraulics option is now available on CT440, CT445 and CT450 compact tractors. This option routes hoses and couplers to the front of the tractor loader to enable the function of hydraulically operated attachments, which are now approved for use on these tractor models, increasing the versatility of the machines.

New Bobcat heavy-duty grader attachments increase versatility with labor-saving features
Using a grader attachment on a Bobcat® loader is an economical alternative to dozers and an efficient method of spreading and grading material, especially on jobsites larger equipment can’t access. Bobcat now offers two additional grader options for larger and more powerful loaders. New features include hydraulic side-shift for easier grading in tight areas or next to obstacles, and an end-wing kit to use the grader like a box blade.

Bobcat Company’s manufacturing facility in Bismarck, N.D., has received International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification by British Standards Institution (BSI) in recognition of the facility’s commitment to environmentally-friendly operation and a safe and healthy work setting.

Bobcat Finds a Home at the Smithsonian
The Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History recently acquired 56 cubic feet of records from Bobcat Co., which manufactures compact construction and agricultural equipment and is based in North Dakota. This donation includes corporate records relating to American manufacturing and marketing as well as business development. Housed in the museum’s Archives Center, these papers join the museum’s extensive collection of agricultural, industrial and business papers. A selection of these records is scheduled to be on view from Nov. 30 through Jan. 17, 2010.

Bobcat Company Staff and Equipment Help Defend Fargo Moorhead Community from Record Flooding
North Dakota, the home of Bobcat Company, is preparing for major flooding in the eastern part of the state and battling flood conditions in the west and central areas. The Fargo (ND)/Moorhead (MN) area, which is home to the Company’s world headquarters, is working 24 hours a day to fill more than 2 million sandbags and build extensive flood walls to protect the communities in anticipation of a record flood stage of the Red River later this week.

Bobcat introduces first steel track undercarriage option for compact track loaders
Bobcat Company, the leading innovator in compact equipment, introduces the first all-steel track option for compact track loaders. The steel track option is similar to the tracks used on bulldozers. Customers who work exclusively in earthmoving or abrasive environments, such as demolition or forestry, will experience increased pushing force and longer life out of the undercarriage.
