Compact Track Loaders Help Get Work Done Right

Doing a job right the first time is a philosophy Jeff Eberly has long subscribed to—from the time he operated “Jeff’s Lawn Service” as a teenager until today as the 33-yearold president of Envirocare Lawn and Landscape, Perrysburg, Ohio.

“We can deliver top quality work and service because we’ve invested in good people and good equipment,” he says. “We rely on our 26 employees and state-of-the-art Bobcat® loaders to produce the results our customers expect.”

Envirocare Lawn and Landscape offers complete landscaping services, including design, site grading, planting, seeding, irrigation, retaining walls and maintenance. The company has seven crews—two landscape, three mowing, one fertilization and one irrigation. Several of the crew supervisors have been with Eberly since he started.

The firm also has a full-time mechanic. “We can’t afford to have equipment down,” says Eberly. “We need to keep up a high level of production.”

A pair of Bobcat T190 compact track loaders, purchased from Bobcat of Toledo, are critical for keeping Envirocare on a fast pace.

“The clay soil in this area doesn’t dry out very quickly,” says Eberly. “The T190s allow us to keep going in bad weather conditions. We have
more work days available because of these machines. They definitely help keep our jobs moving forward when other equipment is shut down.”

Eberly especially likes the site preparation capabilities of the T190. “It works just like a little dozer, producing a nice, smooth plane. The Bobcat soil conditioner allows us to create a perfect bed for seeding and the landscape rake is great for picking up rocks and other debris. For our company this equipment is just what we need for getting an area ready for seeding.”

Kevin Eberly, Jeff’s brother and company vice president, adds: “The Bobcat track loaders out-perform other equipment. That enables us to do our work faster and better. As a result, we save our customers money because we are so efficient.”

Envirocare employees appreciate the good equipment, too. The T190s have an enclosed cab with heat and air conditioning. “This comfortable work environment helps retain employees,” says Eberly. “They come to work with more enthusiasm knowing we have the right equipment to get our work completed correctly and on-time.”
