Optional Long Arm for ZHS Excavators
The new long-arm option boosts the productivity of the Bobcat® 430 or 435 Zero House Swing (ZHS) excavators. The longer dipper stick reaches farther from one spot to do more work before you have to reposition the machine. A higher dump height, combined with a longer reach, makes loading trucks faster and easier, too.
This option includes a counterweight. However, because it is contained within the tailgate, the excavators don’t lose their spacesaving Zero House Swing advantage.
The long-arm version of the 430 excavator gives you an additional 12 in. of reach and an extra 7 in. of dump height compared to the standard 430. That results in a maximum reach of 17 ft., 8 in., and a maximum dump height of 10 ft., 10 in. The additional 12 in. produces a maximum dig depth of 11 ft. The longer dipper and additional counterweight increases the operating weight of the machine by 234 lb. to 8,258 lb.
On the 435 the longer dipper extends your reach by 12.5 in. for a maximum reach of 19 ft., 5 in. It adds 9.5 in. to the truck load height for a maximum dump height of 12. ft., 9 in., and provides an additional 13.8 in. of digging depth for a maximum of 12 ft., 5 in. The 243 lb. long arm option increases the machine’s operating weight to 10,798 lb.
