More Powerful Model Joins Mini Track Loader Family
MT55 with auger attachment
The MT55 is the newest and biggest model in the Bobcat® family of mini track loaders. Sporting a bigger engine, a higher rated operating capacity and a wider track than the MT52, the MT55 adds to the performance and versatility of this rugged, productive line of rubber track loaders.
The MT55 is powered by a 23.5 hp Kubota diesel engine and provides a 550-lb. rated operating capacity to do more work in less time. The 10-in.-wide rubber tracks, with turf-friendly lug design, lowers the ground pressure to 4.1 psi. The result is better flotation on all kinds of terrain and less disturbance of lawns, gardens, paving stones and other sensitive surfaces.
Weighing 2,696 lb. and measuring only 44-in.-wide with a bucket, the easy-to operate and transport MT55 is the same length (less bucket) and height as the MT52 and can fit into tight spaces such as doorways, gates and backyard areas where other equipment cannot. At the same time, the MT55 offers the lifting power, lift height and loading and dumping capabilities of a small skid-steer loader.
Like the MT52, the MT55 mini track loader features 360-degree visibility and user-friendly operation. One multi-function handle controls direction and speed, while one lever controls lift and tilt functions. The two models are the only loaders in the industry with an optional ride-on platform that you can install or remove in a matter of seconds This saves time and effort when traveling long distances or working in muddy conditions.
Both Bobcat mini track loaders eliminate manual labor in many applications, allowing one person to take on a variety of jobs, from landscaping and nurseries to hobby farms and grounds maintenance.
“The MT52, which measures just 36-in.-wide, is designed to replace hand labor when working in extremely tight areas,” explains Gerald Zastrow, Bobcat loader product specialist. “The larger MT55, with its impressive pushing and turning power, is designed for heavier work and you can use a wider bucket and the extra horsepower to haul more materials faster.”
You can equip either model with 18 different Bobcat attachments, including the snowblower, breaker, stump grinder and tiller. The machine’s 2,900 psi hydraulic system and 12 GPM auxiliary hydraulic flow provides plenty of power to operate the attachments. Meanwhile, the standard Bob-Tach™ mounting system makes changing the attachments quick and easy.
In addition to the ride-on platform, you can equip your MT55 with such accessories as a catalytic exhaust purifier, engine shutdown kit, light kit and engine block heater.
