Bobcat All-Wheel Steer Loader Saves Time and Labor Like No Other Loader
Skid-steer vs. all-wheel steer
If your work involves a wide range of jobsite conditions, you can buy a skid-steer loader to maneuver quickly and easily in small spaces and a separate wheel loader to minimize damage to sensitive surfaces and reduce tire wear…or…you can get two machines in one, and maybe even reduce the size of your equipment fleet, by buying a Bobcat® all-wheel steer (AWS) loader. That’s called a wise investment.
An AWS loader looks like a conventional Bobcat skid-steer loader—same mainframe, lift arms, cab and Bob-Tach™ attachment mounting system. But flip a switch to change from skid-steer mode to all-wheel steer and you’ll immediately feel the difference. As you operate the left joystick control, the two front wheels steer in one direction while the two rear wheels steer in the opposite. The result is a smooth turn that minimizes ground disturbance and tire wear. When carrying loose materials, this smooth turning also reduces spillage.
There’s more. Buttons on the left joystick allow you to select three travel speeds: Pressing the inching control button restricts travel speed to about half the low-range speed while maintaining full speed and power. This gives you precise control and high torque when maneuvering in close quarters. The two-speed button lets you select either low or high range.

Such convenience is coupled with ease of operation. Both the left joystick and the right—which controls the lift and tilt functions—are strictly low-effort, state-of-the art systems that reduce operator fatigue. Also, you can control engine speed using a throttle to keep engine rpms at a set level or the foot pedal to easily increase rpms for more power or to reduce engine speed to save fuel or reduce noise.
With the ability to use a large and diverse array of attachments, the Bobcat AWS loader fits many different job applications. They include digging and backfilling utility trenches, leveling and grading on paving projects, cleaning up construction sites, carrying plants, fertilizer and mulch, loading trucks, maintaining streets and working on golf courses, cemeteries and parks.
You can also equip your Bobcat all-wheel steer loader with different types of Bobcat tires. In addition to the standard heavy-duty tire you can select four optional styles: Severe Duty, Severe Duty Poly-Filled, Super Float or Sand and Turf.
The deluxe cab with adjustable suspension seat is standard. For still more comfort and convenience, you can select such options as an enclosed cab with heating and air conditioning, keyless start, Power Bob-Tach™attachment mounting system and a radio.
See your local Bobcat dealer for all the details on how this unique loader can save you time and money.
