Bobcat Excavators Offer More of What You Want in a Tough, Dependable and Comfortable Machine

337

337 compact excavator

If you need to do a digging or truck loading job where working space is limited, there’s a Bobcat® excavator that can do it—quickly, easily and productively. Plus, a wide selection of available attachments and the X-Change® mounting system can save time and labor on a lot of other jobs as well.

Name the feature you want. Bobcat excavators can provide it.

Work efficiently in small spaces

The two smallest Bobcat excavators let you work where other machines can’t. The tracks of both the 316 and 322 models retract in width. They glide through narrow gates to work in a backyard or through doorways and under ceilings for interior repair and remodeling. Once in place, the track width can be expanded again for increased digging performance.

Tackle a broad range of work

When you need a compact excavator that can handle a variety of work, choose either the 325, the mid-size 331 or the powerful 337. Each is built with the performance and operating features you need to stay on top of the job and ahead of the competition.

Reach farther and dump higher

For peak efficiency in shallow excavation applications—digging footings and building pads, trenching for utilities, cleaning ditches and planting trees—or loading trucks, you can’t beat the long-arm Bobcat excavators. There’s one to match your space requirements and productivity demands—the 328, 334 or 341. Regardless of choice, an extra-long dipper minimizes time lost by repositioning as it can reach farther and higher from one spot than standard excavators.

Get two machines in one

With its hydraulically-activated telescoping arm structure, the 331E enhances the 331’s performance with maximum arm-digging force and the ability to extend the dipper for even more efficiency in shallow digging and truck loading jobs.

Improve your swing two ways

Zero Tail Swing (ZTS): When the situation demands an excavator that can handle the toughest jobs in close quarters, climb aboard the 442. This rugged machine boasts exceptional strength for digging. And since the tail doesn’t extend beyond the width of the undercarriage when slewing, productivity is increased when working close to trees, walls or structures. ZTS reduces the chance of damage to surrounding objects or the machine.

Zero House Swing (ZHS): By adding a new dimension to the ZTS concept, the Bobcat 430 and 435 excavators offer the ultimate in maneuverability and spoil placement options when working in challenging conditions. Thanks to the ZHS design, no portion of the house—front corners or rear—extends beyond the width of the undercarriage, no matter how far you swing the house to the right or left. As a result you can slew a full 320 degrees without the work group extending outside the tracks. By greatly reducing the chance of accidentally striking a tree or building, you can work faster and easier. You get all this without sacrificing the comfort of a spacious cab.

Like the entire line of Bobcat compact equipment, Bobcat excavators deliver more than big performance. They’re also loaded with comfort and convenience features to make your job even easier. Depending on model they include:

FastTrack drive system

Both the 430 and 435 excavators feature the revolutionary FastTrack™ drive system. Dedicated axial piston pumps power the travel motors. The result? Maximum torque control and precise turns that make maneuvering, on the ground and loading and unloading from trailers, easier and more precise. This system also offers travel speeds nearly twice as fast as the next fastest competitive machine.

Easy-to-use controls

Hydraulic joystick controls and convenient arm rests minimize arm movements to reduce fatigue for comfortable operation all day long. Thumb switches on the right joystick allow you to select continuous auxiliary hydraulic flow or to vary it from zero to full flow, in either direction, for precise control of attachments. Abutton on the backfill blade lets you switch between low- and high-speed range, eliminating the need to hold a pedal to remain in high range.

Multi-function hydraulics

You can swing the house as you raise or lower the boom, while moving the dipper in or out and when curling or dumping the bucket. That means the fastest cycle times in the industry for maximum productivity when digging a hole or loading a truck.

Easy selection of control pattern

Switching between ISO and Standard control patterns for the joysticks is a simple as flipping a conveniently-located selector lever.

Data-packed instrument panel

The handy instrument panel makes it easy to monitor engine and hydraulic systems. It includes sweep gauges, digital readouts, lighted amber indicator icons and red warning icons. It also includes an automatic shutdown feature to reduce the chance of damage to the machine if engine coolant and hydraulic temperatures or engine oil pressure reach critical levels. For maximum theft protection, you can also choose keyless start.

Work in comfort

All Bobcat excavators are designed to keep you comfortable and productive throughout the day. You’ll enjoy plenty of elbow and leg room, along with controls that are easy to reach and gauges and other instruments that are easy to see. What’s more, you can equip every Bobcat excavator (except the model 316) with a factoryinstalled enclosed cab with heater. For maximum year-around comfort, factory-installed air conditioning is available on 331 and larger models.

Unmatched serviceability

Checking fluid levels and reaching service points of the engine or hydraulic systems is easy with Bobcat excavators. Just swing open the tailgate to check engine components or tip up a cover to access the fuel fill or hydraulic service points and components. You can grease the zerks for the swing pinion, swing bearing and offset cylinder at one location on the left front corner of the house.
