New Bobcat G-Series Excavators Feature Several Improvements
337 compact excavator
The new G-Series of Bobcat® excavators have a series of improvements designed to boost operating efficiency and comfort. The following changes affect all models except the 316 and 442:
• New Kubota direct inject engines improve fuel economy and generate less heat than the indirect inject units they replaced. In addition, the direct inject engine system means easier starting in colder temperatures.
• The G-Series 331 and larger excavators have a single serpentine accessory drive belt that will extend service intervals and belt life.
• The excavators have a new style cab and canopy. The “formed steel” cab is similar to the recently introduced 430 and 435 models. The canopy version also resembles the 430 and 435 machines. Visibility is excellent and operator entry-exit is easy. Field conversion from canopy to cab is now possible.
• Ablade float feature is standard on all 331 and larger units. When backfilling on hard or finished surfaces the blade follows the contour and removes previously excavated material without digging into the undisturbed surface.
• G-Series heating and air conditioning components have been upgraded to provide greater temperature differential, more air flow and improved placement of air. Other improvements included tighter tolerances of the work group and undercarriage track rollers that are tempered for improved service life.
