Bobcat System Delivers Top Performance

From rustic cabins to modern vacation homes—that’s how things have changed on the hundreds of islands dotting Canada’s Lake of the Woods. From wheelbarrows to the Bobcat System—that’s how Lake of the Woods Freight Service, Kenora, Ont., has changed. The company relies on a trio of Bobcat machines: a T200 compact track loader, an 873 skid-steer loader and a 341 compact excavator.
“Anything that can’t be hauled by camp owners is barged out to the islands,” says Geordie Meek, who operates the company along with Brad Boucha. “Many times we have problems unloading items. That’s where our Bobcat® loaders excel.
“The T200 can cross difficult shorelines and work through bad weather with its excellent floatation capabilities,” contines Meek. “For moving large lifts of building supplies, the long wheelbase 873, an outstanding lift and carry loader, is the machine of choice.”
In addition, the long-arm 341 excavator does the excavating for septic fields and footings.
Whether working on a remote island or in town, the Bobcat System, purchased from Bobcat of Central Manitoba, Winnipeg, has proven to be a reliable performer. As customer demands change, Lake of the Woods Freight has kept pace by upgrading its equipment inventory. As a result, the company continues to provide a wide range of on-time services.
