Bobcat Launches Next Generation of Loaders
Bobcat A300 K-Series Loader
Since the first skid-steer loader was invented nearly 50 years ago, Bobcat Company has been on the leading edge with ongoing developments and enhancements for skid-steer loaders, compact track loaders and all-wheel steer loaders. The introduction of the new K-Series generation demonstrates the continued dedication that Bobcat has to providing customers with the best compact equipment on the market.
The new K-Series loaders offer numerous improvements that will have an immediate impact on your capabilities and comfort on any jobsite.
SmartFAN cooling system
Available on all Bobcat® K-Series compact loaders is a new SmartFAN™ cooling system-a variable speed, hy-draulically driven cooling fan that senses machine operating temperatures and then self-regulates to rotate only as fast as it needs to. The process is simple and is 30 percent quieter in some oper-ating conditions.
A quieter compact loader reduces operator fatigue from noise, allows for better communication with others outside the cab and enables operators to work longer days by complying with city noise ordinances.
Bobcat loaders continue to offer an exclusive "dual-path" cooling system where cool, clean air is brought in from above the machine and through the radiator, while at the same time hot air is drawn from the engine compartment, and all of it is exhausted out two side vents. This air flow pattern keeps hot air away from the operator and minimizes dirt and debris in the engine compartment. Other brands of compact loaders may have a significant amount of dirt and debris in engine compartments, which can impede efficient machine operation.
Chaincase update
Bobcat® loaders are known throughout the compact equipment industry as having the best chaincase design. The chains are virtually maintenance-free and never need adjusting, and the protected axle seals never need greasing. Bobcat upgraded the drive chain size to 120 HSOC (high strength oval chain) from 100 HSOC on K-Series large-frame loaders (S220 through S300, T250, T300 and the A300) to provide customers with the largest chain size available today.
The best chaincase design in the industry is one of the features that keeps the new Bobcat K-Series machines on the leading edge of loader technology.
The upgrade makes the bowtie-style drive chains 38 percent stronger, thereby extending the service life in tough applications including those requiring over-the-tire steel tracks or solid, poly-filled or segmented tires.
A keel-shaped belly pan on Bobcat compact loaders provides more ground clearance than competitive machines, enabling the loader to travel easier through mud and sand.
K-Force hydraulic system
Technology previously available only on the large-frame loaders is now available for medium-frame loaders with the addition of the K-Force™ hydraulic system. Now operators can get the same technology and hydraulic performance they are used to with their large-frame machines on medium-frame loaders (S130 through S205 and T140 through T190). A dedicated charge pump provides an 8 percent increase in hydraulic breakout forces, hydraulic lift to full height and attachment torque.
Smoother ride
compact track loaders are generally known for having a smoother ride than other compact loaders because the machine weight is distributed over a larger area. Bobcat made the ride even better with the addition of another roller to the track undercarriage of the K-Series compact track loaders (T180 through T300). The additional roller not only provides a smoother ride, but it improves roller life and overall track life. For even more comfort, a ride control option is available to help the compact track loader better absorb shocks caused when carrying loads over uneven ground.
Extra lift
Bobcat K-Series large-frame, vertical lift path loaders-S250, S300, T300 and A300-feature an additional two inches of lift height. This means operators may more easily load and unload materials from trucks.
Don't forget about the many standard features Bobcat continues to offer customers, such as the Bob-Tach™ mounting system, single belt drive for easy serviceability, swing-open tailgate and transversely mounted engine, engine and hydraulic systems monitor with shutdown, easy-to-see instrument panels and Bobcat-built inertia-welded cylinders.
In addition to the many exclusive features on Bobcat compact loaders are numerous options: Power Bob-Tach™ mounting system, two-speed for faster travel times, fingertip auxiliary control for precise operation, quick couplers and the new Speed Management system. Speed Management is included only with the Bobcat Selectable Joystick Control option, allowing the operator to "dial in" the required travel speed in small increments from 0 to 7 mph. Speed Management provides optimal productivity for attachments that require a slow travel speed.
