T300: 'Best Investment'
Roland Walker of Cleveland, Tex., works for more than a dozen builders in the Houston area clearing lots, preparing sites and doing a variety of other jobs. Much of the time he relies on a T300 compact track loader, a machine he calls "the best investment I ever made." He cites the benefits of the powerful Bobcat® loader:
Works when other equipment can't.
Walker purchased the T300 from Bobcat of Houston two years ago during a particularly rainy season. "We were losing two days a week with our wheel loaders," says Walker. "Once we had the T300 we caught up quickly and were right back on schedule. Everyone wants their job done today, and the T300 helps us accomplish that."
In addition to allowing Walker and his crew to operate in less than-ideal weather, the T300 extends the work season. "We can plan on at least an extra week in the Spring and a week in the Fall. That's why compact track loaders pay for themselves."
Machine of many jobs.
Walker says his T300 is so powerful and maneuverable that he can "accomplish as much as a D4 dozer. It makes short work of grading, loading and unloading dump trucks."
He also says that with the vast array of Bobcat attachments, the T300 saves a lot of time. "We used to have to wait for someone else to do a particular part of a job. Now I can do it myself with the right Bobcat attachment. For example, right after we take down trees when clearing a site, we use the grapple to load the logs into a truck and pick up the branches and other debris to haul away."
Bobcat dependability.
Bobcat equipment is worth the price, says Walker. "I am willing to pay for dependability. In the past, a couple of breakdowns with other equipment cost $4,000-5,000. Who needs unnecessary expenses like that. Plus, my customers are not happy when I am not working."
Makes money.
Walker's T300 is productive six days a week. "Compared to a wheel loader, the T300 does 60 percent more work in the same amount of time," he says. "As a result, we get jobs completed much faster."
In addition, the T300 enables Walker to pick up a lot of extra work. "Neighbors see it working and hire us to do projects. This loader is a magnet for more work. A real money-maker."
T140
You can tow the K-Series T140 behind a pickup truck to easily reach small jobsites. Just 55-in.-wide, it's ideal for saving time and labor in places like backyards and side yards. Rubber tracks enable it to roll lightly across lawns, patio and sidewalks and provide the traction and flotation to keep working in soft, wet and muddy soil conditions. The radius lift path makes this machine great for digging, backfilling and grading.Bobcat T140 Loader
