Skid-Steer Loader Leader Produces 600,000th Machine

Earlier this year the 600,000th Bobcat® skid-steer loader rolled off the assembly line at our Gwinner, N.D. manufacturing plant. The 600,000 units built since we produced our very first loader in 1958, exceed the combined total of all other brands of skid-steer loaders ever made.

At a ceremony recognizing this milestone in skid-steer loader production as well as the American Society of Agricultural Engineers "Landmark Award" Bobcat Company President Mike Ryan said: "Continued innovation has enabled Bobcat to retain its leadership in the skid-steer loader industry and expand into many related types of compact equipment. Strong acceptance of the skid-steer concept has made it possible for us to reach this significant manufacturing milestone three years after we topped the 500,000 mark."

While producing a record number of skid-steer loaders, we have also expanded our product line to include compact excavators, utility work machines and utility vehicles, telescopic tool carriers, loader backhoes and mini track loaders. Plus, around 500 different models of attachments make these machines exceptionally productive.
