Bobcat, Dealers Donate Equipment, Operators at Arlington National Cemetery

For the third consecutive year, Bobcat Company and local dealers have played a significant role as more than 200 members of landscaping and tree care associations participated in the Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) annual “Renewal and Remembrance” day at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va.

Metro Bobcat, a Bobcat dealership with multiple locations in the Washington, D.C., area donated use of four Bobcat® S250 skid-steer loaders and attachments to move pallets of lime before landscapers spread the material on the cemetery grounds. Bobcat district managers Kyle Condon and Brady Seavert volunteered to moved the palletized material with the loaders on Sunday, July 15 in preparation for the PLANET event the next day.

“It was a great experience, helping honor the U.S. soldiers who have served our country, especially during this tough time,” Condon says.

The annual Renewal and Remembrance was part of the PLANET Professional Leadership Meeting held in Washington, D.C., and was planned jointly with the American Nursery and Landscape Association (ANLA) and Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA). This was the groups’ 10th event at Arlington National Cemetery.

“This is a great opportunity for us to support the associations and play a part in maintaining one of our country’s most-respected memorials,” says Greg Rostberg, Bobcat marketing manager. “We appreciate the opportunity to partner with the associations to provide dependable Bobcat skid-steer loaders and attachments to make the event successful.”
