Bobcat To Expand Electric Line-up With New Mini-Excavator at Bauma

Posted: 10 October 2022

Bobcat has announced that at Bauma 2022, the company will launch a new two tonne electric mini-excavator, the latest in Bobcat’s growing line of zero emission compact equipment products.

Robert Husar, Mini-Excavator Product Line Director, Doosan Bobcat EMEA, said: “We launched the E10e, our first battery-powered product and the world’s first 1 tonne electric mini-excavator, at Bauma 2019. Like the E10e, our new two-tonner that we are showing at Bauma 2022 was also developed at the Innovation Center on the Bobcat campus in Dobris in the Czech Republic and we aim to continue the same success with our growing electric line-up.”

Bobcat will present this latest addition to the electric line-up right at the start of the Fair on Monday 24th October 2022 on the company’s stand at Bauma in Munich, Germany. Alongside, the company is also presenting a number of the latest Bobcat innovations and concepts including the world’s first all-electric compact track loader and other products aimed at increasing productivity, autonomous operation and gamification of construction job sites.

Bobcat T7X - The World’s First All-Electric Compact Track Loader To Be Shown For The First Time At A European Fair

The Bobcat T7X, the first all-electric compact track loader in the world, will also be shown for the first time at Bauma, offering high performance and zero emissions. The Bobcat T7X is a battery-powered machine, built to be more productive from the ground up with electric actuation and propulsion, quieter with high-performance torque and more powerful than any diesel-fuelled track loader that has ever come before it.

Vijay Nerva, Head of Innovation at Doosan Bobcat EMEA, added: “Our electric machines being shown at Bauma are all part of Bobcat’s journey in further expanding our portfolio in alternative power sources. In essence, all the components in the power trains of these products are made to measure and we have adjusted the processes with our suppliers so that we can increase the production volumes when needed.”
