Compact track loaders are ideal machines for construction, landscaping and agriculture. They combine skid-steer loader functionality with the traction, stability and low ground pressure of rubber tracks.
A large selection of attachments for compact track loaders make them do-it-all machines. Compact track loaders are best known for lifting and carrying material with buckets, but popular attachments like augers and angle brooms offer more options. With attachments, compact track loaders can take on digging, grading, lifting and more.
Along with traction and stability, tracks distribute the machine’s weight over a larger area. Compact track loaders are ideal for working on surfaces like mud or sand, extending the working season in many climates. Plus, the lower ground disturbance compared to other similarly sized machines minimizes damage to lawns and turf.
Compact track loaders are available in a range of frame sizes, rated operating capacities and engine sizes. Typically, operators can choose between standard hand and foot controls or more advanced joystick controls.

Bobcat compact track loaders and skid-steer loaders look a lot alike from the undercarriage up. The most obvious difference is that compact track loaders have tracks and skid-steer loaders have wheels. Each undercarriage style offers unique benefits.
Compact track loaders are typically heavier than skid-steer loaders. Because the tracks are long and wide – the footprint they leave is comparable to that of a human being. This reduces ground disturbance and increases flotation – or the ability to drive over soft ground conditions.
A skid-steer loader offers extremely tight turning or “skidding.” During a turn, wheels on one side can move forward while wheels on the other side can move backward. This enables you to pivot the machine 360 degrees.
New Bobcat compact track loaders include a standard 2-year/2,000-hour warranty, with engine emission component protections for 3-5 years.
