How to Adjust Mechanical Suspension Seat on Bobcat Zero-Turn Mowers

Published on April 10, 2023

This episode of Bobcat Turf Talks, Bobcat senior product manager Ron Scheffler shows you how to adjust the mechanical suspension seat for maximum comfort while operating your Bobcat® zero-turn mower. He’ll also show you how to flip it out of the way for maintenance and storage for your manual and other documents.

Weight Adjustment Dial Knob

Experience a smooth and comfortable mowing ride with operator suspension support.  Turn clockwise to tighten your suspension for heavier operators. Turn counterclockwise to get more travel for lighter operators.

Forward and Backward Adjustment

Reduce leg and foot fatigue on the zero-turn mower with an ideal seat position for any operator.  Push the adjustment lever in to slide your seat forward and backward.

Rotating Arm Rests

Experience a more relaxing ride on your upper body with arm rests on the zero-turn mower seat.  Rotating arm rests can be flipped up or down to fit your operation preference.

Seat Rotation for Maintenance Access

Levers in the back allow you to lift the seat up for plenty of access to mower components that need maintenance, repair or cleaning. Underneath the seat is a convenient storage tube for your operator's manual, which you should always read and review before mowing.  Between the seat and seat plate is important paperwork and other documents like warranty statement, engine operator’s manual and serial tags for future use.
