Modern Safety Features

Modern safety features are incorporated into the designs of these IC cushion models. These include the Guardian Stability System (GSS) and the Operator Sensing System (OSS), which work together to enhance stability and improve operator safety. Superior visibility has been achieved through various improvements, such as an optimized mast design, a lowered dashboard and a redesigned overhead guard in a bar-type configuration.

Additionally, these vehicles are equipped with electronic parking brakes (EPB) and a programmable speed limit for both forward and reverse movements. The single-speed powershift transmission ensures smooth operation, while the auto deceleration feature enhances control during deceleration.

For added safety, an optional seatbelt interlock switch is available, along with a hi-vis orange seatbelt. Easy access is facilitated by two oversized entry grab bars and a secure anti-skid step plate. Furthermore, operators have the option of a wide-view panoramic rearview mirror to further enhance visibility. These modern safety features collectively contribute to a safer and more secure operating environment.

Reliable and Productive

The modern features of these machines not only prioritize safety but also ensure reliable productivity. Their powerful industrial engine design provides ample power for efficient operation, while the engines run quietly to reduce noise levels for a more comfortable working environment.

These machines offer three performance modes – ECO, STD and HIGH – allowing operators to choose the optimal setting based on their specific requirements. To enhance cooling capacity and prevent overheating, the new line has been designed with an enhanced cooling system.

LED combination lamps offer improved visibility and safety in low light conditions. The transmission control unit (TCU) and vehicle control unit (VCU) work together to optimize performance and efficiency. The Shift Pro-Tek hot shift protection prevents damage to the transmission during shifting. These modern safety features and reliable productivity enhancements make these forklifts an asset in all operational environments.

Ergonomically Superior

These forklifts feature ergonomically superior design features that prioritize operator comfort and ease of use. The seat-side hydraulic levers allow operators to conveniently control the machine's functions without having to stretch or strain. The low-effort foot pedal ensures smooth and effortless operation, reducing operator fatigue. A smaller steering wheel with a turning knob provides precise steering control while minimizing hand fatigue, while the telescopic and tilting steering column allows operators to adjust the steering wheel to their preferred position, further enhancing comfort.

Ample legroom and increased headroom provide a spacious and comfortable working environment, and recessed tilt cylinders contribute to the truck’s compact design while maximizing operator space. A high-comfort seat provides excellent support during long hours of operation, and the LCD display offers clear and intuitive information on machine status and performance.

These ergonomically superb features collectively create a comfortable and user-friendly operating experience, promoting operator productivity and reducing the risk of discomfort or injury.

Lower Total Cost of Ownership

These lift trucks are designed to provide a lower total cost of ownership by incorporating various features with a long work life in mind.

Robust Steer Axle Components

Heavier components and superior engineering merge to create a steer axle assembly that could save you over $2,500 in repair costs.

Oil-Cooled Disc Brakes

With a five-year or 10,000-hour warranty, our braking system is superior in every way. Much easier to service in the field than traditional shoe brakes, our OCDB could save you more than $2,250 in repair costs alone.

Fewer Scheduled Preventative Maintenance Jobs

Bobcat saves you money by lengthening the periods between scheduled maintenance. With Bobcat's PM schedule, you could see $1,200 in savings within the first five years.

These features collectively contribute to a lower total cost of ownership by minimizing maintenance expenses, optimizing maintenance intervals and improving ease of maintenance for increased efficiency and productivity.

Oil-Cooled Disc Brakes (OCDB)

The GC-9 forklifts come with a five-year, 10,000-hour warranty for their oil-cooled disc brakes (OCDB), providing peace of mind and assuring you of their durability. OCDB is a standard feature on all IC cushion tire trucks, ensuring consistent and reliable braking performance.

OCDB is an enclosed brake system that eliminates the risk of outside contamination, maintaining the brake's effectiveness over an extended period. With a service life five times longer than conventional shoe brakes, OCDB minimizes the need for frequent brake replacements, reducing downtime and maintenance costs. The greater stopping power of OCDB contributes to a safer work environment, enhancing operator and personnel safety.

OCDB are also maintenance-free, further reducing the overall maintenance requirements and ensuring the machine remains operational for extended periods without interruptions.

These features collectively provide operators with a reliable and long-lasting braking system that requires minimal attention, enhancing productivity and safety in various operational environments.
