M3-Series: State-Of-The-Art, Non-DPF Engine

The biggest advantage of our Tier 4 solution is simplicity. Bobcat engines meet Tier 4 regulations without a diesel particulate filter (DPF). This reduces downtime that occurs with DPF regeneration and minimizes long-term DPF maintenance costs. M3-Series loaders are designed to deliver more usable horsepower, so you can work quicker, lift more and outperform the competition.

Great performance doesn’t come from a high horsepower engine alone. M3-Series loaders use the machine’s overall design to deliver more usable horsepower. These powerful machines offer the right balance between engine and pump, plus a weight distribution that delivers powerful breakout forces and faster cycle times. If you need to work quicker, lift more and outperform the competition, Bobcat compact loaders are the only choice.

Features & Benefits

S590 Skid-Steer Loader Digging Dirt Using The Bucket Attachment

High Torque

Higher combustion pressures generate more torque. Bobcat engines have a robust combustion chamber that handles more pressure and produces high torque levels at low rpm operation. You’ll notice better performance for pushing, digging, lifting and operating attachments with less chance of stalling.

Wider Range of Power

Bobcat engines generate the most torque across a much wider rpm range than other engines – and stay in the peak torque range longer.

New Lift Pump and Self-Priming Fuel System

The new fuel pump includes a self-priming system that continuously forces air out of the low-pressure fuel system and back into the fuel tank, eliminating the need for a primer bulb. The new low pressure fuel system also incorporates a fuel pressure sensor to continuously monitor the low pressure fuel circuit and can notify the operator of a plugged fuel filter. This makes it easier for operators if the fuel tank runs empty or if changing the fuel filter.

Fuel Pre-filter

A new fuel pre-filter protects the lift pump from particles that can increase wear and degrade performance. With M3-Series loaders, you don’t need a screen at the fuel neck to capture debris.

Larger Fuel Filter

M3-Series loaders have a new fuel filter that's larger, enabling better system protection and longer filter life with more than double the media surface area. It has more holding capacity to capture impurities for longer intervals, greatly extending the life of the fuel filter. It also has advanced water separation capability, which increases water removal efficiency in the most challenging fuels. The filter is also easier to change and includes a sensor, clear water bowl and drain for easy monitoring.
